Town Paint Natick

This was one of downtown Natick’s few remaining original sights. The orange sign may have been glaring, but it never changed through the years. Until now. Goodbye, Town Paint. The new white sign and new name just doesn’t do it for me. What about you?

  1. I’m just glad it’s still a hardware store and not another realty office (see former site of Taylor Rental).

  2. While I’m not thrilled about the new sign, I do hope that the new management will have friendlier folks working there. The few times I went in under the orange sign, I got the distinct feeling that I was either invisible or interrupting someone’s day by wanting to know where something was.

  3. I hope the new management will have a policy that does away with the employees smoking right outside the front door (do it behind the store, please).

Every time I walked by, invariably there was one or two people smoking. I hate to go to the big-box hardware stores, but did because I couldn’t stomach the smoke. It got to be that my wife thought I had a girlfriend because she smelled the smoke on my clothes when I would return from Town Paint ;-)

I’d love to return to do my hardware shopping there, but my principles are my principles and my pet peeves are my pet peeves.

  4. That chain smoking dude standing out front all day was ABSOLUTELY USELESS. It was a major event for him to show you where a product was located. Horrible, horrible service.

  5. Hello Natick!!!

We are the new management at Hometown Paint and Hardware and we appreciate the comments.

Just for the record, we’ve directed all smoking to the parking lot.

But we’re making many more changes.

Our objective is to be your hometown hardware - a place to go to get great service, prices and, always a smile!

We’re adding services like screen repair and blade sharpening and are expanding our product lines. We’re also
providing delivery service and taking special orders for items you don’t see on the floor.

Come by to say “Hi” AND let us know how we’re doing.

We’re here to make this your one-stop shop for home repair, maintenance and upkeep and we want to know how we
    can best serve you.

    Thanks.

    Stephen
