Around Natick

Caution, this blog contains opinions.

Professional Member of the Bar?

I’m not surprised that we have what some might call a “lawyer” in town who loses his temper when he reads opinions that differ from his own.

There’s an online blog where people talk about “smart growth” in their communities. Jason Makosfsy, member of the Conservation Commission, and his governmental cohort, Josh Ostroff, didn’t like my posting to the “smart growth” bulletin board. So they tried to block my efforts. Imagine this bit of censorship?

Jason says: (writing to the sponsors of the discussion)
“I think you should reconsider recommending the blog “Around Natick.” The author intentionally posts distortions, half-truths and unsupported allegations of malfeasance on the part of public officials. “

Imagine someone so paranoid, perverse, or egotistical, as to ask a web site to remove a link, simply because he disagrees with the opinion?

I’d suggest he do some lawyering work from his office instead of spending so much work time with online discourse and blogs about Natick.

BTW, he then exhibits his white collar preferences with this bit of crap

“Seems they prefer bail-outs for a dirty factory in the middle of a densely populated town that employs a few dozen people, rather than supporting a clean office building that employs hundreds of highly-paid professionals.”

Josh, did you agree with this opinion? (In case you’re wondering why I mention him, it’s because he authored a few messages to this same site, to back up the censorship attempt. A fine example of a Selectman at work, I must add.)

Another example of “Natick Talk Back” where Town Officials feel a need, and do so.
